Welcome to our Monuments and Landscapes Gallery

Monuments tell our story of a history etched in stone.  "Here Lies In Honored Glory, a Soldier Known but to God" reads the inscription on the Tomb of the Unknowns.  It is there where so much sacrifice can be remembered, for we who visit, the time is brief but notice the wear of the mat, the stains in the stones, the tomb sentinels march never ends, he simply hands off the duty to another guard.  We take away a piece of each memorial when we photograph it, we take it home, we share those moments with our friends and family.  Our history is precious to us, we want to capture it, bring it home and share it with those who may never see the skyline of Chicago or stand in awe at a raging waterfall.

Thank you for visiting our site and please enjoy our travels an we share the sights, scenes and  beauty  with you.

Liberty Bell

We visited Philadelphia and New York City, July 2019. It was amazing to see the historical sites we have read and studied for years. It was breathtaking to stand an arms length from the Liberty Bell with the grandeur of Independence Hall in the background.

New York City was equally amazing, there are so many landmarks to photograph and we did capture some of the most iconic. I hope you enjoy the views as much as we did.

National D-Day Memorial, Bedford, VA

This is one of the most amazing monuments in the country, its comparable to anything in Washington, DC. Bedford lost the most soldiers during the Normandy invasion that any city in the United States per capita, its a must see if you are in the Roanoke, Lynchburg area of southern, VA.

The images below were shot in the Great Smokey Mountains in October 2024. With the exception of Pilot Mountain, it was shot on my return trip from that workshop. There are photos from Cades Cove, Cherokee, and Tremont, TN. The waterfalls are just to beautiful to describe and the abundance of wildlife was incredible, it was a beauiiful time to be in Western, as the leaves were in full Fall color! I hope you enjoy!
